About the Roles
We are expanding and seeking passionate, reliable Aviation Screening Officers to join our growing aviation security team. You will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of airport operations through:
- Passenger & Cabin Baggage Screening
- Access Control & Security Screening Points
- Customer & Visitor Screening Operations
Flexible rosters are available (day, night, weekends) across a 24/7 schedule, with both permanent and casual positions to suit your lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct passenger, baggage, and personal screening in line with aviation security regulations
- Operate X-ray screening equipment and screening technology effectively
- Identify prohibited items and respond appropriately to security threats
- Maintain compliance with airport security procedures and SOPs
- Provide professional customer service while ensuring safety and security standards are met
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate screening documentation
- Work collaboratively with airport stakeholders, airlines, and law enforcement agencies.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in aviation screening, aviation security, or airport operations is highly regarded
- Experienced X-ray Operators or applicants with screening qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply
- Strong understanding of aviation security protocols and regulatory compliance
- High level of professionalism, observation skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and follow procedures in fast-paced environments
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Qualifications
The following are required, or willingness to obtain:
- NSW Security Licence (1A minimum)
- ASIC (preferred)• Cert II in Transport Security Protection (highly regarded)
- Current First Aid & CPR• White Card; Fire Warden and Traffic Control
- Unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence• Experience operating X-ray screening systems (preferred)
- Ability to pass police, drug, and alcohol checks.
