Safety Inspector

About the Role

As a Safety Officer, you will play a hands-on role in identifying and managing workplace health and safety risks in dynamic event environments. You will work closely with Event Managers, contractors, venue stakeholders, and operational teams to ensure safety obligations are met and that events are delivered in a safe, compliant, and well-managed manner.

This role suits experienced safety professionals who are comfortable working in fast-paced environments, enjoy being on site, and are confident providing practical, solutions-focused safety advice.

The role requires flexibility and a willingness to travel nationally as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support incident management, investigations, and reporting
  • Audit and inspect safety practices, hazards, and controls
  • Facilitate safety inductions, toolbox talks, and briefings
  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, codes, and procedures
  • Evaluate WHS risks and hazards during event operations
  • Verify safe work practices with staff, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Engage with Event Managers, Venue Management, and Contractors
  • Nurture continuous improvement through post-event reviews
  • Translate safety requirements into practical advice on site
  • Strengthen safety culture across events and venues.
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a Safety Officer or similar WHS role (events or construction preferred)
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
  • Unrestricted Driver’s Licence
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Provide First Aid and CPR
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional, reliable, and safety-focused approach
  • NSW based (preferred) with willingness to travel nationally.
