ACESGroup is seeking professional and community-focused Security Guards - Pedestrian and Vehicle Patrol (Ranger Services Officers) to join our team, reporting to the Ranger Services Supervisor and Ranger Services Manager whilst servicing a high-profile multi-site visitor services contract at Greater Sydney Parklands. These roles operate on a rotating roster across all seven days.
As a Ranger Services Officer, you will be a visible and approachable presence across parklands and public spaces, delivering customer service, safety, security, and positive visitor engagement. You will conduct patrols, respond to incidents, support events and bookings, and help ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for the community.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Community Engagement
- Deliver high-quality customer service and positive visitor interactions
- Act as an approachable point of contact for visitors, providing information and safety guidance
- Respond professionally to visitor and community concerns and escalate matters as required
- Promote parklands activities
- Promote safe behaviour and compliance in public environments
Operational & Patrol Duties
- Conduct proactive, high-visibility vehicle and foot patrols across parklands and public spaces
- Protect assets, infrastructure, property, plant, and equipment
- Lock and unlock buildings, gates, and access points as required
- Monitor parkland activity including events, sports bookings, functions, and photography sessions
- Identify, report, and mitigate risks to public safety and amenity
Emergency Management & Incident Response
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and fire alarms in accordance with procedures
- Provide first aid and medical assistance within scope of training
- Assist emergency services and follow direction from Supervisors and Wardens
- Participate in debriefs and incident follow-up as required
Regulation, Enforcement & Traffic Control
- Promote awareness of park by-laws, statutes, and regulations
- Enforce compliance in line with SEINS and Customer guidelines where required
- Assist with traffic direction and control, including temporary signage and barricades
- Report breaches, hazards, and non-compliance accurately
Administration & Reporting
- Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation
- Use control room and reporting systems, including surveillance technology and data entry
- Maintain clear, timely, and professional written records
Teamwork & Professional Standards
- Work collaboratively with Supervisors, RSOs, Temporary Ranger Services Officers, Traffic Controllers, Static Security Officers, and Customer staff
- Follow operational procedures, policies, and directions
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation, conduct, and professionalism
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year frontline customer service experience (relative experience acceptable)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and situational awareness
- Proficient Computer Skills to complete reports
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a rotating 7-day roster
Essential Criteria / Qualifications
- Current NSW Security Licence (1A)
- Current RSA Competency Card
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Full NSW Driver Licence
- Working With Children Check
- Ability to pass LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy, Digital) assessment
- SEINS (or willingness to obtain)
- Traffic Control & Implement Traffic Management Plan certification (or willingness to obtain)
- White Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Fire Warden (or willingness to obtain)
- Confine Small Emergencies / First Attack Fire-Fighting certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Statement of Attainment NAT 10685 – Handling of Sharps and Infectious Waste (or willingness to obtain)
- Awareness and acceptance of animals and wildlife, including snakes, in parkland environments
