Responsibilities and Duties
As an ACESGroup Security Officer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and success of each event.
- Welcoming and assisting event attendees with a customer-focused approach
- Managing ticketing and credential checks at entry points
- Conducting bag checks for restricted and prohibited items
- Roaming through crowds to monitor behaviour and ensure a safe environment
- Managing crowd flow and providing event and venue information
- Securing event perimeters and managing restricted areas (e.g., backstage, performance zones, field of play)
- Protecting event assets and key personnel
- Monitoring, responding to, and reporting incidents
- Preparing general security reports and logs.
Essential Criteria
- A valid QLD Security Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Competency Card (preferred)
- Flexibility to work dynamic hours — including evenings and weekends
- Strong communication skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service
- Punctuality, reliability, and a professional attitude
- An appreciation for events, sports, and entertainment
- Physical endurance to stand and stay alert for long periods — often outdoors.
