We are seeking full-time Security Relief Officers to join our team on a Flexible Standby Roster. This role involves being corss trained across multiple sites throughout Sydney. Candidates must be prepared to be deployed on short notice and willing to travel to various worksites across Sydney (or agreed Sydney sub regions or specific security sectors).
As a Security Relief Officer, you will focus on providing excellent customer service, patrolling and securing facilities and assets (on foot or by vehicle), maintaining public safety and monitoring regulations. Relieving Security Officers have the opportunity to request transfers and will be given priority for full-time roles at preferred site when vacancies become available.
Please note: this role requires Security Guards/Security Officers who have a full unrestricted Driver Licence and valid NSW 1A Security Licence and have held the licence for a minimum of 12 months.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Provide visitor customer service, direction, and information
- Protect physical assets, which includes regular pedestrian and vehicle patrols
- Monitor and guide the behaviour of people in places
- Observe facilities to reduce risk and maintain public safety
- Respond to incidents as first responder
- Prepare general security records and reports
- Provide facility access control.
Essential Criteria:
- Ability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster
- Security Licence (NSW 1A)
- Full NSW Drivers Licence
- First Aid and CPR (current)
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Competency Card (current)
- Customer service experience
- Superior communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Exceptional personal presentation
- Reliability and punctuality
Willing to obtain:
- Traffic Control and Implement Traffic Management Plan certificates/cards
- White Card
- Fire Warden
- Working with Children Check
