ACESGroup is seeking an experienced Security Services Manager to lead security operations across Powerhouse precincts, one of Sydney’s most significant public and cultural environments.
This is not a standard guarding management role. It is a leadership position for someone who can deliver a visitor-focused culture that maximises access to the Powerhouse program, build a high-performing team, maintain strong compliance and incident standards, and deliver a security service that protects people and assets while supporting visitor experience.
You will lead a modern, service-driven operation in a complex public environment, working closely with site stakeholders, frontline teams, and emergency services to ensure the precinct remains safe, welcoming, and professionally run.
About Powerhouse
Powerhouse Museum sits at the intersection of arts, design, science, and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. It is the custodian of more than half a million objects of national and international significance and is considered one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia.
Powerhouse is undertaking a landmark $1.3 billion infrastructure renewal program, led by the creation of Powerhouse Parramatta, expanded research and public facilities at Powerhouse Castle Hill, the heritage revitalisation of the iconic Powerhouse Ultimo, and the ongoing operation of Sydney Observatory.
About the Role
In this role, you will embed customer service, visitor focus, and maximising access into security and precinct operations while leading day-to-day security, customer service, and emergency operations across multiple precinct locations.
You will drive a proactive, prevention-focused security culture, oversee incident response, investigation, escalation, and reporting, and maintain high standards across patrol, access control, control room, and back-of-house operations.
You will also support the development of SOPs, post orders, site processes, and service improvements, while managing rosters, workforce performance, briefings, and operational standards. Building strong working relationships with client stakeholders, emergency services, and partner teams will be central to the role, alongside using reporting, audits, and operational data to identify risks and improve performance.
