About the Role
ACESGroup is seeking experienced Security Supervisor- Pedestrian and Vehicle Patrol, (Ranger Services Supervisors) to join our team, reporting to the Ranger Services Manager, servicing a high-profile multi-site visitor services contract at Greater Sydney Parklands. This role operates on a rotating roster across all seven days.
As a Ranger Services Supervisor (RSS), you will provide leadership, guidance, and support to Ranger Services Officers (RSOs) in the field, assist in managing contract services, and help ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for the community. You will also act as a key point of contact for operational matters, customer service issues, and incident response.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Community Engagement
- Deliver high-quality customer service and positive visitor engagement
- Ensure Ranger Services Officers (RSOs), Temporary Ranger Security Officers (TRSOs), Traffic Controllers (TCs), and Static Security Officers provide a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors
- Respond to visitor and community concerns, promoting safety awareness and resolving issues professionally
- Provide a high level of service to Customer staff and escalate issues as required.
Leadership & Staff Management
- Support, direct, and coordinate small to medium-sized teams of RSOs, including during incidents and emergencies
- Conduct daily briefings/toolbox talks, pre-shift briefings, and ensure staff understand and comply with operational procedures
- Actively manage permanent and casual staff, including performance, training, and development
- Conduct supervisory checks, monitor procedure compliance, and rotate shift tasks effectively
- Provide guidance and support for training, onboarding, and staff orientation.
Administration & Reporting
- Complete daily checks on incident reports, logbooks, and end-of-shift reports
- Maintain accurate operational documentation and incident records
- Participate in monthly and annual contract review meetings.
Patrolling & Security Operations
- Conduct proactive, high-visibility vehicle and foot patrols to protect assets, parklands, and public spaces
- Monitor and assess behaviour in public environments, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure public safety
- Operate control room systems, including surveillance technology and data entry
- Lock and unlock buildings, gates, and access points as required
- Protect property, plant, and equipment, and prevent unauthorised access to restricted areas
- Monitor parkland activity, including events, sports bookings, functions, and photography sessions
Emergency Management & Incident Response
- Act as first responder to incidents, emergencies, and fire alarms
- Liaise with emergency personnel, provide or coordinate first aid and medical assistance as required
- Act as Warden during emergency evacuations and ensure appropriate incident response
- Debrief Customer’s Nominated Officer following incidents and manage response quality
Regulation, Enforcement & Traffic Control
- Promote and educate visitors on by-laws, statutes, and regulations
- Enforce compliance with by-laws, including issuing infringements according to SEINS and Customer guidelines where required
- Provide traffic direction and control, install/remove temporary signage and barricades as required
Other Duties
- Support operational requirements across Centennial Parklands, Western Sydney Parklands, Callan Park, Parramatta Park and Fernhill Estate as required
- Perform any other duties necessary to ensure effective and efficient delivery of Ranger and Security Services
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3years’ experience in a security supervisory role
- Minimum of one (1) year frontline customer service experience (relative experience acceptable)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High standard of personal presentation and professionalism
- Proven reliability, punctuality, and ability to operate under a rotating 7-day roster
- Strong administrative and reporting skills
- Proficient computer skills to prepare detailed and complex reports and analysis
Essential Criteria / Qualifications
- Current NSW Security Licence (1A)
- Current RSA Competency Card
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Full NSW Driver Licence
- Working with Children Check
- Ability to pass LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy, Digital) assessment
- SEINS (or willingness to obtain)
- Traffic Control & Implement Traffic Management Plan certification (or willingness to obtain)
- White Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Fire Warden (or willingness to obtain)
- Confine Small Emergencies/First Attack Fire-Fighting certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Statement of Attainment NAT 10685 – Handling of Sharps and Infectious Waste (or willingness to obtain)
- Awareness and acceptance of animals and wildlife, including snakes, in parkland environments
