We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Trainer/Assessor to help lead the next generation of aviation security professionals.
This is a rare chance to be part of an exciting newly developed role — shaping training programs and delivering nationally accredited security courses. Based at our Redfern training centre, you’ll play a pivotal role in building capability, safety, and service standards from the ground up.
As an Assessor & Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in educating and enhancing the skills of our students. Your real-world experience and training expertise will directly support students in building the practical skills and confidence they need to succeed in the field.
About the Role
Reporting to the RTO Manager and working closely with the operational and recruitment teams, you will:
- Deliver and assess Certificate II in Transport Security Protection programmes.
- Train new aviation security personnel for passenger and cargo screening.
- Facilitate in-person, online and hybrid assessments whilst providing one-on-one support to learners.
- Track student progression and provide guidance throughout the learning journey.
- Assist with course content updates, industry compliance, and national delivery standards.
- Facilitate training onsite and in our Redfern Training Rooms and onsite at airport and cargo facilities.
- Play an active role in professional development, validation, and RTO compliance activities.

What You’ll Need
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or willingness to obtain)
- AVI20325 – Certificate II in Transport Security Protection, or equivalent experience
- 3–5+ years’ experience in aviation security (with strong operational knowledge)
- Proven ability to train, coach and support learners in both face-to-face and online settings
- Current or eligible ASIC
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders
Desirable
- Certificate II or III in Security Operations
- Experience using online LMS platforms
