On 27 May 1967, Australia’s most successful referendum saw more than 90 per cent of Australians vote to give the Australian Government power to make laws for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to recognise them in the Census.

In recognition of this significant milestone and Australia’s reconciliation journey, ACESGroup is proudly participating in National Reconciliation Week, running from 27th May to 3rd June. National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. The 2022 theme “be brave and make a change” challenges us all to Be Brave and tackle unfinished business of reconciliation so we can make change for the benefit of all Australians.

During the week, ACESGroup will be hosting a discussion led by guest speakers and providing insight into how ACESGroup are working to advance principles of reconciliation in all that we do. In playing our part we collectively build relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures.
