International Security Officers' Day 2024
Happy International Security Officers' Day 2024! Thank you to all security officers for protecting people and places 24/7, 365!
We’re getting geared up to welcome over one million spectators to the Sydney foreshore for the world’s largest and most technologically advanced fireworks display as part of Sydney New Year’s Eve. Our NYE Security Guards will play a vital role in welcoming visitors at some of the best vantagepoints in Sydney.
This year’s New Year’s Eve celebration will include a spectacular Welcome to the Country, pyrotechnics, pylon projections and a celebration of the upcoming WorldPride festival. Around midnight the Sydney Harbour Bridge will be transformed into a giant rainbow and this years fireworks display will show over 35,000 shooting ground-based effects, 12,000 aerial shells and over 100,000 individual pyrotechnic effects, launched from various rooftops, barges throughout the harbour, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House sails.
There’s no doubt that fireworks are a massive part of Sydney New Year’s Eve and it’s easy to understand why, with over 8 tonnes and 18 shipping containers worth of fireworks lighting up the city. But from where we stand, it’s people that really make the difference, with our team alone dedicating over 10,000 hours to deliver a safe and enjoyable New Year’s Eve for attendees across the biggest event footprint Sydney has ever seen. With that in mind, we’re also celebrating our team this New Year’s Eve!
This year our NYE Security Guards and Event Force team will be welcoming visitors at the best Sydney New Year’s Eve Vantagepoints:
